Botafogo and Fluminense met on Sunday in the Carioca Championship, that is, in the Rio de Janeiro State League. Even before the kick-off whistle, the atmosphere was tense, and both fans and pundits expected big emotions on the pitch – bearing in mind that the visitors were just four points behind their rivals.

Botafogo started this match better, because after 15 minutes they were 2-0 ahead. However, Fluminense did not give up – before the end of the first half they scored a goal, and in the 82nd minute it led to a draw.
It didn't end there. In the 88th minute, Botafogo took the lead again. A few dozen seconds later, a real club was set up on the field. Unwittingly, his “hero” became Botafogo's first striker – Jarlin.
In one situation on the field, the 18-year-old was tackled and injured, which prevented him from continuing to play. At the time of the foul, he was outside the end line, which theoretically allowed the opponents to resume the match. His friend decided to intervene and drag Yarlin to the playground. In response, the opposing team's goalkeeper sent him back to the bench, but Botafogo did not give up and Jarlin found himself on the field again.
Quarrels broke out between the players and cards were distributed. In the end, Botafogo scored another goal and won 4-2.
