„Zadufana, apodyktyczna, arogancka, zaczepna” - tak kandydatkę na premiera Włoch Giorgię Meloni opisał lider Forza Italia, były szef rządu Silvio Berlusconi. Epitetów dziennikarze dopatrzyli się na kartce z notatkami, jaką polityk miał przed sobą w Senacie. Trwa dyskusja, czy notatki Berlusconiego obrazują stan napięć w zwycięskim bloku centroprawicy, która ma utworzyć rząd.

“Righteous, arrogant, arrogant, aggressive” – this is how Giorgia Meloni, candidate for the post of Prime Minister of Italy, was described by the leader of Forza Italia, former head of government Silvio Berlusconi. The journalists saw the nicknames on the note paper the politician had in front of him in the Senate. There is an ongoing debate over whether Berlusconi’s remarks illustrate the tension in the winning center-right bloc that will form the government.

The media published an enlarged image of the remarks of the three-time former prime minister, who was once a longtime leader of the centre-right. On the sheet you can see the name and surname of the future head of government, followed by four words describing her behavior. There was also a fifth – “funny”, but it was crossed out.

Then there is the sentence: “There is no desire for change. It is something that cannot be agreed upon.”

Silvio Berlusconi, 86, put the memo in front of him on Thursday as the Senate was voting to elect the president. Senators of Forza Italia did not participate in this as evidence to protest Meloni’s veto of the party’s nominees for minister. Ignazio La Russa from the party of the future prime minister – the Italian brothers were also elected thanks to many opposition votes.

On Friday, La Russa, when asked about Berlusconi’s remarks, said the author himself should say the published photo is a “fake”.

The leader of Forza Italia is silent. And Meloni, as journalists note, does not seem to care about the position of a veteran of Italian politics and is working on the formation of the government. She only said that one comment was missing – “She wasn’t blackmailed.”

It is assumed that after consultations on his appointment, which will be conducted by President Sergio Mattarella, the new government should be sworn in on October 23 or 24.
