Paranormal Activity 3 Trailer

Below you can checkout a Paranormal Activity 3 trailer which was posted on an earlier piece we did on the Paranormal Activity 3 poster. This much like the poster is a fan trailer but frankly it was so good I just had to share it with you all.

Some of you will love this new trailer and some of you will frankly groan and likely throw heavy objects at your monitors ( I dont advise this ). Luke our esteemed guru of all things Horror did a piece where he pitched what he thought was the most likely course for the third paranormal activity movie which will be in theaters October 2011 writing;

The idea that seemed to make the most sense to me, due to how the second film unfolded, was that the third film would go back even farther and chronicle the events that Katie and Kristi experienced when they were younger and possibly uncovering what caused their family to be burdened by the demon in the first place. It is possible to also expand on the events and fast forward to the current timeline with Katie possibly coming to after being possessed by the demon realizing what has happened and hiding out somehow, still being tormented viciously by the demon.

However, now that it is in possession of Hunter you could argue that it is possible the demon has already claimed Hunter’s soul, but that just seems too sinister to handle for today’s sensitive American audiences. It could also follow Ali as she looks into the whereabouts of her aunt Katie and her stepbrother Hunter, but would there be enough substance and scares to sustain the tone of a PARANORMAL ACTIVITY film.

Finally the Emperor’s clothes have been called out! Paranormal 1 was okay, scary in parts. But making 2 sequels with the same plot device is taking it a bit toooo far.

  ive not seen either one but i think you nailed it. i am sure the first film is great but the hype the studio pitched around it was so intense it turned me off. Primarily because HOSTEL used the same hype pitching it as the scariest thing ever… and it wasnt.

    Hostel was just a gore fest without a story. These movies are all about suspense. Everyone I know that has also seen these movies agree that they will scare or at least startle you. Its not studio hype, go read some actual movie reviews if you don’t believe me.

      The Paranormal Activities were actually extremely hyped up. And according to a lot of people(including me) they weren’t in the least bit scary/suspenseful/startling. In my opinion the end of Paranormal Activity 2 was somewhat…entertaining(?), but not worth sitting through two hours of fast-forwarding boredom.

        To some, like me, are tired of the blood, guts and gore. It is refreshing to watch these because it goes back to the fact you dont need the gore to get scared. Yes, I do realize there is blood staining her shirt in the first one, but it adds the imagination of “what happened?” But I understand where you are coming from, i really do.

  Obviously you never watched the second film and Skaymeister even admits to it. By definition, 2 and 3 are sequels, but its not 3 separate stories. Its reminiscent to the Saw films, where 1 picks up where the last left off. Personally I’m very interested to see where the possessed Katie and Hunter end up…

  Apparently there’s a bit of confusion about what is paranormal & pure BS with a twist of lemon (as in Paranormal Activity I & II). I’ve experienced Paranormal activity all my life & do not support promoting crap like they are portraying just to make a quick buck. Believe me when I say there is no “3:00 am” witching hour, the afterlife is always here with us 24/7 night & day.

I think itd be great to make a 3rd movie but they should really focus on more of the research that the characters do. Id like to see the next movie follow Ali trying to find her aunt and Hunter. OR they could do something that involves Ali’s stepmom’s original husband… Like maybe he died because Alis stepmom killed him, when she was possessed…

anyone who still believs parnormal activity is real please google the name ‘micah sloat’ which was katies boyfriend it then sais on the wikipedia that he wasa unknown actor who was wanted for the role to this film an had to have the ability to not know what scene would be thrown at him next e.g scary moments.. that goes to all the actors in this film just google any of there names

Anyone who believes this is real can’t read. The opening of the 1st film pretty much has a disclaimer that it is fake. If you don’t want to waste you money on the film…then don’t go see the film. Personally I enjoy the films very much. Where they aren’t really scary at all, they do successfully achieve suspense and do startle at times.I hope it picks up right where the last left off on the daughter finding the bodies on October 12th.

quite frankly, all these people who are saying these movies are rubbish and a waste of money, why bother wasting your time as well telling people this who probably arent even interested. i personally liked them, the first one couldve been better, rather enjoyed the second, was more happeneing in it. looking forward to see what they come up with for the third.

I enjoy both films, I am worried that a third film may ruin the series but there nothing wrong with the 1st two.
It keeps you totally focused on it. Was that a noise? Did that door move? Was that shadow there a minute ago?
Frankly I find these cerebral horror films far more entertaining than torture-porn horror films like the pathetic Saw and Hostle franchises.

Personally I thought the first one was absolute crap (but that was probably all the hype getting ym expectations but) I realised at the end of the film I could’ve just fast forwarded the rubbish with the couple during the day and cut the movie down to 20 minutes just showing the paranormal activity.
I watched the the second and it was soooooo much better. The storyline how it connects to the first film and the goings on was much more nastier and creepier then the first. I still dislike the first one as incredibly boring but the second made me dislike it less.
I look forward to the 3rd hoping like the 2nd it gets better by the film. Rare but possible.

The first PA was nice, not scary at all but it could be seen until the end (to me a director must have a lot of talent to terrify people with door moves and the director of ,PA have not such maestria).
I saw the second one yesterday and it was just a paste of the first one with less interest, a not credible story, many errors in the story and terribly boring.

The idea of à gosth was seducing, but the one of à demon just sucks.
Honestly these people have to learn more about demonology to be crédible.

This is my take on no3. The movie starts with Katie in a maximum security mental hospital after being caught for the murders and hunters gone missing. Katie as the demon won’t inform the police of his whereabouts. When they realize that the hospital is being haunted and the evidence points towards Katie an investigation team monitoring hospital cameras are called in along with a psychiatrist and a priest.

When they realize what has happened along with the found footage from films 1 and 2 they try and perform an exorcism, this is where the demon turns nasty and it kinda goes all “the exorcist” on us. People start dying etc then eventually they overcome it freeing Katie.

Katie then pieces together what happened to hunter and we have a mad dash to find him before the demon does.
