ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Apocalypse GOC – The first RTX 3070 Ti based on the GA102-150 core

GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is a well-known graphics card based on a GA104 core complete with 6144 CUDA modules. However, don’t be surprised if you find one with slightly different specifications. NVIDIA often has the habit of releasing the seemingly same cards with slightly different technical data, and it’s no different in the case of the RTX, which is also available with the GA102-150 core from today.

As we know, the GA102 chip is designed for the most powerful Ampere cards, so the manufacturer had to turn off the 4608 CUDA modules in it to achieve the performance of the RTX 3070 Ti. It should be noted that the TDP of the discussed card is up to 320 Watts.

NVIDIA is quietly introducing driver support for new versions of the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, RTX 3060 Ti, and RTX 3060 cards.

ZOTAC has added GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Apocalypse GOC to its lineup. We are talking about a card with 8 GB of GDDR6X (256-bit) memory and can operate at up to 1800MHz. Of course, the new GA102-150 with 6144 CUDA modules attracts attention. As we know, this chip was designed for the most powerful Ampere cards, so the manufacturer had to turn off up to 4,608 CUDAs to achieve the performance of the RTX 3070 Ti. It is worth noting that the TDP of the discussed card is up to 320W, so it is 10W higher than other non-reference RTX 3070 Ti models.

NVIDIA is working on three updated Ampere cards. On the road there is, among others, GeForce RTX 3060 with 8 GB VRAM

The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti with a GA102 core comes as no surprise to us, as we’ve already heard about updated Ampere models hitting the market. In recent days, we’ve been describing the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti G6X and RTX 3060 8GB modules in our pages, so the “new” RTX 3070 Ti compliments recent leaks. This ZOTAC graphics card will likely not reach global markets and will only be available in China. However, it is worth keeping an eye on the situation – perhaps on what day now will other manufacturers offer similar models for their presentation? Well, if it does, hopefully it will be categorized appropriately, for example as shown below.
