volleyball. European Championship. Vital Heinen: I’ve said from the beginning that we are playing with the Serbs very early

In the first meeting of the European Championship, the Poles defeated Portugal 3-1, although the mere loss of a group with such a weak team made the experts worried. The battle with Serbia turned out to be a real thrill, and despite the victory of the Poles over it, it provided questions rather than answers.

During a post-match conversation with Edita Kowalczyk of “Przegląd Sportowy”, when she said “at some point it was close to defeat”, our coach, Vital Heinen, responded succinctly. “I don’t like such questions,” he exclaimed. Developing his ideas, he admitted that it was necessary to appreciate above all that the Poles had overturned the fate of the clash. – Victory after this battle is more important to us – he added.

He stressed that his team was not yet ready to face a strong opponent such as the Serbs. – I said from the start that we are playing with the Serbs early on – he confirmed.

Interestingly, according to the coach, had it not been for the fact that Poland played on its territory, it probably would not have been able to win.

There are still three group stage matches against our team. He will face Greece on Sunday. The fight begins at 20:30. Broadcasting takes place on Polsat Sport, Super Polsat, Polsatboxgo as well as on TVP.
