slag. Krzysztof Kasprzak finished the season. He will not be running in the IMP Finals

Krzysztof Kasprzak ended his start in the 2022 season due to a back injury. The competitor informed PZM that due to the pain he would not be able to participate in the last two remaining tournaments of the Polish Singles Championship.

Kasprzak finished sixth in the first final at Grudziądz. He scored eight points in five qualifiers. However, in the breakout race, he moved on at the start, receiving a second warning from the referee that day, disqualifying him from a re-race.

Thus Krzysztof Kasprzak will remain with eight points in the overall championship standings, and in Krosno and Rzeszów he will be replaced by Mateusz Cierniak, who also appeared on the track at Grudziądz, instead of injured Jakub Jamrog (Zdunek Wybrzeże Gdańsk). Cerniak then scored six “points” and is now ninth in the general classification.

During the tournament in Krosno, there will also be changes among the reserve players. Krzysztof Buczkowski (Stelmet Falubaz Zielona Góra) will “jump” into the R1 position, and Rafał Karczmarz (Cellfast Wilki Krosno), who finished 12th in the semi-finals in Gdansk, will take over.

The first of the three finals of the Polish Singles Championship were held on July 9 at the racetrack in Grudziądz. The tournament ended with the victory of Bartosz Smarzlik (Moji Bermuda Stall Gorzo) who lost only one point in the entire tournament. In the decisive race, he defeated Motor Lublin’s competitors – Jarosław Hampel, Dominik Kubera and Patryk Dudek (for Nature Sollutions Apator Toruń).

Zmirzlik also scored an additional point for the largest number of ongoing victories in the competition and with his achievements with 18 “points” he tops the general classification. However, other players haven’t said the last word yet and will certainly want to thwart the defender’s plans in Krosno. Especially the Lublin Motor bikers, who were in great shape, did not give up hope for gold. He was relieved on the track at Grudziądz Hampel, who had won four qualifying rounds on the main round, only came once, and was driving from the weakest starting grid. Kubera has also shown that it is in good shape.

Next Monday, the competition will move to Krosno, the longest track in Poland. He is currently 396m tall and could be a huge advantage for the hosts who know him well – Cellfast riders Wilków Krosno – Tobias Musielak and Mateusz Szczepaniak, who received a wild card from the Polish Automobile Federation to start the August competition.

In the late afternoon of Tuesday, application numbers will be drawn, which will enable individual races to be selected and the appropriate fields to be assigned to the start of Monday’s championship. Below we present – in alphabetical order – a list of motorcyclists who will start in Krosno and their individual starting numbers.
