In France, a new type of coronavirus has been detected in a school in the northwestern administrative region of Brittany, the Jerusalem Post reported on Saturday. “I don’t want to scare people. So far we only have a few cases” – commented the professor. Cyril Cohen.

French newspaper Le Telegramme reports that 24 people have been infected with the new type of SARS-CoV-2 known as B.1.X or B.1.640. Last month, when an infection with the new strain was diagnosed at a school, the authorities were forced to close half of the classrooms, the report said.

The French regional health agency said that no case of a new variant of SARS-CoV-2 has been recorded since October 26, but the foundation says it is still monitoring the situation.
