The new Star Wars series premieres!  Premieres next month

Lucasfilm has announced a new series called “Star Wars: Tales of the Empire,” which will once again immerse viewers in the dark corners of the galaxy.

The series, which focuses on the dark side of the Force, will premiere on Disney+ on May 4, during the annual Star Wars Day holiday.

“Star Wars: Tales of the Empire” will consist of 6 short films that will appear simultaneously on May 4 on the Disney+ platform.. It will tell the stories of two warriors whose fates went in different directions – one the story of Night's Sister Morgane Elspeth (Diana Lee Inosanto), and the other following the fate of former Jedi Barriss Offey (Meredith Salinger).

The series will also feature popular characters like Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen), the Fourth Sister (Rya Kihlstedt), General Grievous (Matthew Wood), the Grand Inquisitor (Jason Isaacs), and Darth Vader (voice actor yet to be announced).

The creator of the series is Dave Filoni, a “Star Wars” veteran, who after “Tales of the Empire” will present another series, this time the live-action “The Acolyte”, which is scheduled to premiere on June 4. Lucasfilm is also planning additional Star Wars Day celebrations, including Including a 20-hour marathon of films from the Skywalker saga and the return of the first installment to cinemas – “The Phantom Menace”.
