Kamala Harris in Munich: This war is a failure for Vladimir Putin

-I wanted to thank you for what you do. You have demonstrated your commitment to democratic principles and are fighting for territorial independence,” US Vice President Kamala Harris said at a press conference on Saturday as part of the Munich Security Conference.

The American official stressed that her country “proudly stood by Ukraine during the past two years.” She added: “President Joe Biden and I will stand by Ukraine at all times.”

– Yesterday we received reports of the death of Alexei Navalny. I met his wife, Julia, and expressed my pain, horror, and anger. Alexei Navalny was a courageous leader who stood up to corruption and tyranny. Kamala Harris indicated that the information related to his death is further evidence of Vladimir Putin's brutality.

The US Vice President also said that Ukraine “is still fighting heroically against Putin's continued brutality.” Thanks to the courage of the people of Ukraine, and thanks to the American alliance, Kiev is still fighting and strong. Mr. President, I deeply admire your readiness, determination and struggle. Ukraine has achieved great successes in the war against an adversary that seeks to subjugate Ukraine, I asked President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“You have support in both houses of the US Congress,” she declared.
