Mykola Olchuk, Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, announced that Ukraine carried out a large-scale attack on Wednesday on Russian military sites in the Crimean Peninsula, which it annexed.
“Ukrainian pilots will definitely return to their home airport. I would like to thank everyone who participated in clearing Crimea of the Russian presence,” the military officer wrote.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday that Kiev had carried out up to 20 missile attacks. Their main target was the air bases near Sevastopol and Evpatoria. Fragments of the shells fell on a military area near the town of Lubimovtsy, north of Sevastopol – where the large Russian Belbek air base is located.
