However, every living organism – including humans – breathes at the single-cell level. how? – From a biochemical perspective, respiration is a whole series of complex reactions. They begin in the cytosol – the watery part of the cell. Professor Agnieszka Czasinska: Let me start by saying that we feel inhaled and exhaled all the time. During this process, we supply the body with oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. However, the biochemical processes underlying the conversion of oxygen to carbon dioxide are very complex.
Our whole body breathes, every cell of it. From a biochemical perspective, breathing occurs not only in the lungs, but in every cell. So the brain breathes too.
