“RU”: Box office revenue continues to rise

The film adaptation of Kim Thuy's autobiography, in theaters since November 24, has been a real hit over the holiday season, grossing nearly half a million additional dollars since mid-December. The film is still playing in nearly fifty theaters across the province and will open elsewhere in Canada starting January 26.

Directed by Charles-Olivier Michaud and written by Jacques Davids, the film tells the story of young Vietnamese Dinh (Chloé Djandji) and her family, who settle in Quebec after a dangerous sea crossing and a rough stay in Malaysia. New life. It notably stars Karine Vanasse, Patrice Robitaille, Mali Corbeil Gauvreau and Marie-Thérèse Fortin.
