Albania leads the standings with 13 points. The next places are occupied by the Czech Republic – 11, Poland – 10, Moldova – 9, and the last is the Faroe Islands, which no longer count in the battle for promotion – 1, while coach Michal Proppers’ team played only seven matches and the rest less.
At the conclusion of the competition, Friday, Poland will play against the Czech Republic in Warsaw, and Moldova will play against Albania in Chisinau, while three days later the Czech Republic will play against Moldova in Olomouc, and Albania will play against the Faroe Islands in Tirana. If the Poles want to qualify for Euro 2024, a key requirement will be victory over the Czech Republic in their final appearance (8:45pm). However, it is possible that even a win will not give us a chance – because in the match that starts at 18:00, Albania cannot afford to lose to Moldova in Chisinau. If Moldova wins, even a Polish victory will not give it anything.

If there is no draw in the Czech Republic-Moldova match, the winner will receive 15 or 14 points and will qualify for the European Championship alongside Albania. In the event of a draw, Moldova will have 13 points and will also outperform Poland with a better balance than in direct matches (3:2 and 1:1).
It is also possible that the top three teams (Albania, Moldova and Poland – although Albania would also lose to the Faroe Islands at home) could get 13 points each, but even this sci-fi scenario cannot save us. In a small table created from the results of the matches between these teams, Moldova will have 9 points, Albania 6 points and Poland 3 points.
We support Albania with Moldova, the Poles with the Czech Republic, then Moldova with the Czech Republic.
Assuming Poland wins over the Czech Republic, we must support Albania against Moldova. If he wins, our fate will depend on Monday’s match between the Czech Republic and Moldova. If the Czechs do not win, we will advance to the Euro.
If Albania draws with Moldova, only a draw in the Czech Republic-Moldova match will guarantee us second place.
Not only the Polish national team, but also the Czech national team, are counting on the hosts’ defeat on Friday against Albania in Chisinau. If Moldova loses or draws, coach Jaroslav Silhavi’s team will need only two draws to qualify. Otherwise, they must beat Moldova.
Some teams that did not qualify for Euro 2024 through the qualifying rounds will have a chance to fight for promotion in the qualifiers. The results of the Nations League determine who will participate in it. It is certain that Poland will play in the qualifiers for next March, but its opponents are not yet known.
