Coach Nikola Grbic’s players, despite their loss in the first group, were able to turn the tide of victory for their team in the semi-final match with Slovenia. The Whites and Reds won the match 3:1 (23:25, 25:21, 25:20, 25:21).

Soon, the Poles will have a chance to win gold at the Old Continent Championship. It is worth noting that the Whites and Reds performed very well in their previous matches in the tournament. In the group stage they defeated the Netherlands, Czech Republic, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Denmark. However, in the knockout stage, apart from Slovenia, they also faced Belgium and Serbia.
It should be noted that Slovenia, which was defeated by Poland in the semi-finals of the European Championship, competed in the final match in the previous edition of the tournament. There, volleyball players from Slovenia competed with Italy. Then the players of the Apennine Peninsula turned out to be the best and won with a score of 3:2 (25:22, 25:20, 20:25, 25:20, 15:11).
