Universities from Białystok are again included in the ranking prepared by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR). The authors of the list ranked more than 20.5 thousand. scientific institutions in the world.

The CWUR rankings have been published since 2012. Their authors consider the quality of education and research outcomes (the number of scientific papers and publications in prestigious journals or citations). This year’s ranking includes 40 institutions from Poland (universities, technical institutes, medical universities, institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences). UwB ranked 36th among them, and 12th among classical universities.
– I am particularly pleased with the good result of our university in terms of the quality and impact of the research conducted at our institution. In recent years, the university has invested a lot in infrastructure: the convenience of scientists’ work has improved, more specialized equipment and devices have been added, including those purchased from grants received by our researchers. I am convinced that this contributes to better publications, more inventions and patents, and this, in turn, affects our position in the rankings. The ranking includes the 2000 best scientific institutions. The largest university in Podlasie is ranked 1844th overall and 1771st in terms of research conducted.
Białystok Medical University boasts an even better result, ranking 1629th overall. In terms of the research conducted, MUB is ranked 1559. Among 40 Polish institutions, it ranks 31st.
