“You know I have a big bias there, I’m sure of it. And then, I think we’re going to have a pretty good spring,” he replied.

A tribute to Guy Lafleur is in Outa, the yellow monster’s native region. And, the day after his death, Prime Minister François Legault even indicated that his government was open to making a gesture to honor Guy Lafleur.

However, according to the rules of the Commission de Toponymy du Quebec, it is necessary to wait at least one year for a person to die.

Guy Lafleur died of lung cancer on April 22, 2022. He is 70 years old. He is from the municipality of Thurso, which Highway 50 crosses.
