“A day without chocolate is a day without sunshine”

20 years after founding Juliet & Chocolate, Juliet Brune says she is still passionate about her work.

In an interview with TVA Nouvelles, the chocolatier and entrepreneur talked about his recipe for success, his relationship with chocolate and the impact of the blizzard on his business, just days before one of Juliet’s busiest places of the year. & chocolate.

Here are some of his answers to our questions:

Is it a good idea to keep eating chocolate?

“Anyway, I ate it throughout the epidemic and I was morally very good,” Ms Brune says bluntly.

A man of “a day without chocolate is a day without sunshine” principle, certain ingredients in chocolate are good for the heart and wake us up, making us less agitated than caffeine.

“It stimulates our brains and makes us happy,” says Juliet Brune.

Nevertheless, the owner of Juliette & Chocolate advocates moderation and invites consumers to discover their own existence.

“I wouldn’t say I eat 15 kilos a day, but eating a little bit of chocolate every day is very good for me, and for everyone who works around me at Juliet et Chocolat, I can tell. Always in a good mood!”, she declares.

Has the power outage affected your business in the past few days?

Mrs. Brune said one of his businesses had to close its doors due to the power outage. Fortunately, the branch was able to resume operations this morning.

However, the situation required great efforts to avoid losing a significant amount of chocolate.

“We worked with other restaurants. We took everything out of stock and took it to other restaurants. There, I would bring in inventory to refill the restaurant that had been emptied,” says Juliet Brune.

What are the most popular items for Easter?

Character-shaped chocolates are very popular with children, who make up a significant portion of chocolate eaters at Easter.

However, the chocolate maker notes that children are far from happy during the Easter holidays.

“I see most adults buying chocolate for themselves. […] I think it’s great because I think it’s important for everyone to have fun at Easter, not just the kids!”, he notes.
