According to data published by the Ministry of Agriculture, at the end of March, an L-size egg from a cage farm cost about PLN 0.81, a barn egg worth PLN 0.90, and a free-range egg up to PLN 0.94. A year ago, it was PLN 0.55, PLN 0.61 and PLN 0.65 per item, respectively. A simple calculation shows that the price of eggs has increased by more than 45 percent.
