The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the Russian forces stormed the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region. “Russia will become an example of defeat,” said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who also announced another package of sanctions. It will cover nearly three hundred companies and more than a hundred people working against Ukraine and financing Russian aggression.

Zelensky noted that on Saturday Russian forces bombed Kherson in the south of the country, killing three people who were heading to the store to buy groceries, and in Zaporozhye a missile hit a municipal infrastructure facility. He added that in the border areas, Russian forces bombed villages to intimidate the people and force them to leave.

But Russia will not be there. It has become synonymous with terrorism, and it will become a model of defeat and just punishment for this terrorism. A punishment that the Kremlin will not be able to stop.

Failed attack attempts

Earlier on Saturday, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russians had made several unsuccessful attempts to attack. They added, “The attack on Bakhmut continues.”

Over the past 24 hours, 12 airstrikes and missile strikes have been carried out on Zaporozhye in the southeastern part of Ukraine. From the S-300 system, Russian forces struck a “civilian infrastructure facility”, destroying one building with no casualties.

The Russian forces also carried out 34 attacks with several missiles. The target of one of them was a civilian infrastructure facility in Kherson in the south. Two people were killed and three injured.
