Kaufland scanners customers shop via smartphone

The K-Scan service was implemented by the network in September last year. Handheld scanners went to six supermarkets in Silesia, located in Tarnowskie Gory, Katowice, Semijanowice Olski, and Chorzów. Poland was the fifth country where Kaufland customers started using the K-Scan service.

The network is satisfied with the K-Scan pilot program and plans to expand the service. – Currently, K-Scan scanners can be used in eight stores in Kaufland. It will soon be available in more than thirty stores – says Marcin Łojewski, member of the board of directors of Kaufland Polska, to the Wirtualnemedia.pl portal. They will appear mainly in stores in large cities.




Kaufland will test scanning purchases using smartphones


Łojewski announced that the network will also begin testing the ability to scan smartphone purchases. If the results of the trial are positive, this option can also be offered in Kaufland stores on a permanent basis.


Currently, the Carrefour network, which launched the Scan & Go service a few years ago, allows you to scan purchases via a mobile application.
