A 21-year-old man who brutally stabbed his father 14 times in the head in 2019 was sentenced Friday to life in prison without parole for at least 12 years.

Earlier this month, Nova Bob was convicted by a judge of premeditated murder and aggravated assault in connection with the murder of Giovanni Puccianiko.

The tragedy occurred almost two years ago in the Villare district of Montreal to this day.

By this verdict, the young man was automatically sentenced to life imprisonment.

As part of the sentencing submissions, the defense proposed that Bobbin could apply for parole after a period of at least 10 years.

The crown, for its part, is recommended for 13 to 14 year olds.

Supreme Court Judge Pierre Labrie finally cut the pear in two on Friday, requiring him to serve at least 12 years.

Is far from rehab

A magistrate in Montreal court said, “When he carried a knife on him and he was involved in the attack, it showed that he was far from rehab.”

The bloody murder of Giovanni Puccianiko, a father of six, took place on the evening of July 20, 2019.

He also intervened with a group of youths who beat up his 24-year-old son Johnny Hachi Puchianiko.

A group of youths stole the cage of his dog who escaped during the confrontation.

The 49-year-old did not even have time to act before a violent fight broke out at the intersection of Balanger and Louis-Haman streets.

The father quickly managed to get to the ground and was later stabbed and kicked by several suspects, who were repeatedly beaten by Pepin.

Filmed attack

The terrifying scene was partly filmed by a witness.

In the pictures shown during the investigation, we see the accused beating the victim.

Next to him, the son of the deceased was also beaten and kicked.

Giovanni Puccianico was on the ground when police arrived.

He sustained serious injuries from 14 stab wounds to the left side of his head and neck.
