We are at a turning point in global geopolitics. Prime Minister on relations with the Czech Republic: the ambiguity has disappeared

On Tuesday evening, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Prime Minister Peter Fiala participated in a discussion organized during the Karpacz Economic Forum.

Peter Fiala said in his speech that only after the outbreak of the war did many European countries realize that policy towards Russia had not been successful so far. Only then did they begin to use the experiences of the countries of Central Europe.

He emphasized that Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki now plays a very important role in Europe, and that his authority in the European Union is of great importance in making decisions, for example regarding Ukraine.

He stated that our countries must continue to convince our partners in the European Union that we must maintain our support for Ukraine and that we must isolate Russia. He said because what is happening in Ukraine matters to us and our future.

Mateusz Morawiecki confirmed that we are able to transmit on “one wavelength” with the Czechs on geopolitical matters. “I think we are at a turning point in global geopolitics. Today, the voice and arguments of those who presented a certain view of the world in a coherent way and who faced what happened right were very important.” – He argued.

He pointed out that we have warned more than once of the consequences of Russian policy.

“This consistency in our statements is key and I would like to thank you, Peter. There was some ambiguity between our two countries, but with Prime Minister Philae taking over the portfolio, it simply vanished. Today we focus on what is most important, which is effective support for Ukraine

– confirmed the head of the Polish government.

He said that the assistance provided to Ukraine today is not only military and humanitarian aid. The Prime Minister said that financial support for Ukraine is very important so that there is no “impure implosion” in this country. Because if there is no money to pay soldiers, policemen, nurses or doctors, it is not known how Ukrainian society will react.

Moraviki emphasized that we, along with the Czech Republic, are putting effective pressure on our partners in Western Europe, especially the European Commission. Because a certain version of energy policy fell into ruin. Today, he said, on the ruins of that energy policy, we are building a new one.

The Polish Prime Minister said that our voice is clearly heard today in Brussels, and also thanks to the authority of Prime Minister Viale. Thanks to the fact that we united within the Visegrad group, as well as with the Baltic states, Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia, “the voice of Central Europe became much larger than five or ten years ago.” “I would like to thank the Prime Minister and the Czech Republic for this shift in geopolitics,” Prime Minister Morawiecki emphasized.
