For several seasons, the clashes between Chistochova and Szczecin were considered a great success and had a great influence on the final decisions. The current phase of the season is too early for that, but winning the great match could have been comforted by much better spectators off the top of the table.
From the very first minutes, I found it very difficult to pinpoint the cause of the tension in the hosts’ ranks. Bogdan Rakovitan was injured by coach Marek Babszon. The coach was soon penalized with a yellow card for his extremely reckless behaviour.
Raku had been waiting 26 years to score against Pogogo at home. The quest for success in Czestochowa is only two years shorter (the 1-0 win after Adrian Benedichak’s strike was the start of the 2020/2021 season in Bełchatów). Unfortunately, the first half did not indicate that this statistic would change. Boredom was exploding from the stadium, and more in the stands than on the pitch, there was debate over who could leave the locals’ ranks on the last day of the transfer window.
If any of the teams show offensive inclinations, it’s Raku. It is known that Vladislav Gutkovskis misses a lot of positions, but this time he was exaggerating even for him. In the ninth minute, he missed two chances at the same time, because the ball after the shot came back close to his feet, but the Latvian did not take advantage of the second chance either. The coach’s real frustration was caused by the five minutes before the break. Bartosz Nowak posted a real “Gutkovi” cookie, but this one missed the ball. Ending the situation was a real curse and the biggest flaw for the inhabitants of Czestochowa. It was a bad consolation for the locals that Chase in the offensive game looked even worse.
During the break, coach Papszun made only one change, but no change. Matthews and Doviac entered the weak raccovite and the results came very quickly. This time a fine throw by Novak found the consignee and the former Krakow player who was hit in the head did not give the Pomeranian Duma goalkeeper a chance. The target was a large crowd of hosts who wanted to quickly follow up on the blow. The show has definitely improved in terms of quality as Pogoń is starting to play better too.
Entering the second half, Wdowiak played so hard that Raków’s coach would always consider letting him enter the field as the “Joker”. In the 68th minute, he was very close to a second header, but Stipica saved the guests with a stunning display. A minute later, she was closer to an increase when Kona crossed by Arsenic and another Doviak. The first time Stipica showed an unusual display, the second time the ball was too high.
The victory allowed the residents of Chistochova to advance to third place in the table. Even Ovid in the poem “Metamorphoses” would not be ashamed of such a change, which Raku’s coach made in the locker room. Presenting the format from the second half, Raków appears to be the most serious candidate for the championship at the moment.
