Health properties of peaches.  Check out how it affects the body

This popular fruit in the world is found in more than 6 thousand. varieties. Poles definitely love dark purple, egg-shaped peaches. The largest specimens are the chief and fruit haganta plum, and the medium ones are Cacanska lepotica, stnaley and Hungarian Dąbrowicka. The plum, which is the smallest, but enjoys great interest from Polish consumers, is an ordinary and early variety of Hungarians.

This season there is a clear return to Mirabilis, forgotten for many years. In the 1980s, its small fruits generously adorned trees in orchards and home gardens. Compote Mirabell was a hit among the delicacies of August, but this little peach lost to the varieties that bore larger fruits. Today, mirabelles are back, and they can be purchased in nearly every market, especially in processing-oriented areas. Mirabell jam cannot be substituted.

Among the many varieties, the dark purple-skinned plum deserves special mention. This fruit is considered to have strong antioxidant potential. In addition to providing them with deep colors of polyphenols (pigments with antioxidant properties), we can find three vitamins with similar properties. We’re talking about:

– Vitamin C that strengthens immunity,

– Vitamin A, important for healthy eyes and skin,

– Vitamin E, rarely found in fruits, which inhibits the premature aging processes of cells. The most common focus is on skin cells – here changes can be seen with the naked eye, but vitamin E is equally important for brain cells, and a diet rich in antioxidants is the best prevention of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Antioxidants are the most effective way to neutralize the toxic effects of free radicals and prevent lifestyle diseases. A diet rich in antioxidants reduces the risk of cancer, diabetes, atherosclerosis and high blood pressure. It strengthens and closes the immune system, increasing the resistance of pathogenic microorganisms. It is worth remembering today, especially since September is fast approaching, and with it the season of infections and colds.

Plum is an important source of B vitamins, which determine the smooth functioning of the nervous system, affect the course of cognitive abilities and mood. Our grandmothers used to say that if you are in a bad mood you should eat a plum. Three preferred!

We also find important minerals in it, including:

– iron needed for healthy blood,

– Calcium and phosphorous are necessary for strengthening bones and teeth,

Being a specific catalyst for the transformation of protein, fat, carbohydrate and magnesium.

Plums have the great advantage that you cannot overeat them. They are exceptionally rich in fiber, which makes the stomach feel full quickly. The fiber itself effectively stimulates the peristaltic movements of the intestine, improving the removal of toxins, sediments and unnecessary metabolic products. Plum is the perfect antidote to constipation.

Peaches is much better in this role. Water-deprived, higher in raw vegetable fiber (fiber). The relationship is as follows: 2 grams of fiber in 100 grams of fresh prunes and 7.1 grams of fiber in 100 grams of dried. That is why plums are recommended for the most difficult, including chronic constipation problems.

Dried fruits contain up to five times the vitamin A content of fresh fruit, and it is useful to reach for it to strengthen eyesight and skin. Due to its richness in iron and phosphorous, prunes should be one of the most important products in the diet of people who have either stopped or severely limited meat intake.

Fresh foods contain more vitamins C and E and significantly lower calorie content. You should know that prunes contain five times more calories than fresh prunes. It should be used as long in moderation.

In season, it is good to enjoy the taste of fresh fruit. For the winter and spring months, we can not only dry them. Peaches can be frozen and cooked. Compote, jams and plums maintains a delicious taste. Especially in the winter.
