Arian Turbid Roy wrote and recorded “Le paradis d’Amy” in collaboration with Newton Morin-Heights Studios.

“The song was to pay tribute to him, but also to live my grief well and make people aware of the dangers around rivers,” the teenager explained in an interview with LCN.

The latter says that the process of writing and recording the song made him feel better.

“It allows me to let go of my emotions,” says Arian Turbid Roy.

The teenager says her song was well received by Amy’s parents and friends.

“They were all so proud of me, and everyone was so touched that I did this for Amy,” he says.

Yvon Rioux, owner of the Newton Morin-Heights studio, already knew Ariane well. He helped compose the song as a tribute to Amy. This is a less unusual request than one might think, he says.

“I welcome young people who frequent the studio. We settle down, we discuss, we go into the emotions and we write the songs,” explains Mr Rioux.
