The Russians are trying in various ways to assert their presence in the occupied cities on the territory of Ukraine. However, instead of any real assistance to the population or the renewal of urban infrastructure, the Conquistadors focus only on tokens and porpoises.

This was done by the Russians in Sievierodonetsk

Billboards reading “Russia is here forever” appear in the occupied cities. The occupiers also changed road signs written in the Ukrainian language to Russian and removed the flags used until now. In recent days, similar activities have been carried out in Severodonetsk in the Luhansk region.

The sign in front of the entrance to the city has been repainted in the colors of the Russian flag. As the self-proclaimed occupation authorities argued in an interview with propaganda agency Ria Nowsti, the city’s activists did so “in response to numerous requests from the local population.”

The city is threatened by a humanitarian catastrophe

On June 25, Russian troops captured Severodonetsk, and on July 3, Lysichansk, the last two large cities of the Luhansk region, previously under the control of the Kyiv authorities. In the opinion of many analysts, it is likely that the next target of the invaders will be Kramatorsk and Slavyansk in the northern part of Donetsk Oblast.

On Friday, July 8, the head of the Ukrainian authorities in the Luhansk region, Serhiy Heidi, warned that That the city of Severodonetsk in eastern Ukraine, which was occupied by Russian forces, was on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe. Up to 80 percent were destroyed or damaged. Residential buildings, invaders plunder homes on a large scale and take civilian property.
