Q. Jones died.  The actor of "Dzika Panda" and "Casino" films was 94 years old

LQ Jones He died on Saturday, July 9, of natural causes at his home in the Hollywood Hills. As the industry magazine “The Hollywood Reporter” wrote, the actor’s grandson Erté deGarces reported the actor’s death.

LQ Jones has played more than 160 roles in films and serials for his account. His film career spanned over 50 years. In the ’60s and ’70s, he played many bad guys in the West. He also co-wrote and produced the popular science fiction film Boy and His Dog (1975).

The Hollywood character actor has worked on dozens of Westerns, including Sam Peckinpah classics like Wild Bunch, Major Dundee, Twilight Arrows, Pat Garrett, and Billy Kid.

He also has roles in movies, incl. “Love Me Tender”, “Apache Rifles”, “Red River”, “Maska Zorro” and “Casino”.

LQ Jones has also starred in popular series including “Renegade”, “Texas Ranger”, “A-Team”, “Charlie’s Angels”, “How the Wild West Was Conquered” and “The Virginian”.

He was born as Ellis McQueen Jr. August 19, 1927 in Beaumont, Texas. As a child, his mother died in a car accident and his relatives raised him.

“I owned a horse when I was eight or nine, and I grew up around strong rodeo people, so Westerns were easy and fun for me,” he said years later in an interview.

He served in the US Navy and studied law at the University of Texas. After college, he bought a farm in Nicaragua to make money from beans, corn and dairy, but the business wasn’t going well for him. Then he moved to Hollywood and started acting in films.

He has performed alongside Hollywood stars such as Clint Eastwood, Sam Elliott, Sybil Shepherd, Farrah Fawcett, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Sharon Stone, Charlton Heston, Joe Pesci, Gene Hackman and Elvis Presley.
