Vince McMahon reportedly paid $12 million to appease victims

Vince McMahon, the longtime impresario of America’s wrestling empire WWE, has reportedly agreed to pay more than $12 million to settle allegations of sexual misconduct and infidelity over the past 16 years. Wall Street Journal.

This amount is significantly higher than what is publicly known.

According to the US newspaper, the four women – all previously linked to WWE – signed contracts with the 76-year-old man, who forbade them from talking about their relationship with him.

McMahon stepped down as president and CEO of WWE in mid-June, pending an investigation into allegations of misconduct. McMahon, however, continues to oversee the creative side of WWE during the trial.

WWE has appointed Vince McMahon’s daughter Stephanie McMahon as interim president and CEO for the duration of the investigation.

The company said it will not comment until the investigation is complete.
