Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk called on citizens to evacuate as quickly as possible from the occupied territories in the south of the country, in particular in Kherson and Zaporizhia states, so that the Ukrainian armed forces could liberate them without endangering the civilian population. She emphasized that evacuation, albeit difficult, was possible and should be decided because Russian forces were using residents as human shields.

– There is an eviction and people know about it. (…]The communication system works very well. (…) I will not talk about it publicly now, because it is about people’s safety – said Wereszczuk, adding that volunteers and Ukrainian authorities were helping with the evacuation.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the need to leave yourself and take your relatives by all possible means. She explained that “our artillery must work because liberation from occupation involves the use of force,” declaring “violent fighting.”

Vereshchuk also said that the Russians cremate their dead soldiers on a large scale in occupied territories of Ukraine so they can declare them missing and avoid paying compensation.
