The world premiere of David Cronenberg’s “Future Crimes” in Cannes is fast approaching. And in June, the film will be shown in theaters in America. So it’s time to reveal the age range of the author of “History of Violence” and “Naked Lunch” author of the new work. Fans of the director will probably be delighted. The film will enter US cinemas with an R category.

Why did ‘Future Crimes’ get an R?

Why are US censors awarded a Class R? Well, Future Crimes has brutal and disturbing content, shocking visuals, nudity, and some profanity.

“Future Crimes” is the first film that Cronenberg has made of his own idea since “eXistenZ”. He wrote the first draft of the script several years ago, but then put it in a drawer. Years later, he went back to it, corrected it, and so made the film, which will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

What is the new David Cronenberg movie?

The action of “future crimes” will take place in the near future, when humanity as a result of the so-called rapid evolution syndrome begins to change biologically. While some appreciate the limitless potential of transhumanism, others try to master it. Saul Tenser is a beloved actor who decided to undergo SPE and as a result new and unexpected organs began to grow in his body. Together with his partner Caprice, the hero turned the removal of these organs into a spectacle that loyal fans could watch in real time. When government and an alien subculture target Tenser, the artist must think about what his most shocking performance might look like.
