Io and Europe. The moons of Jupiter were captured in a stunning image by NASA's spacecraft

Jupiter has 79 moons, the most famous of which are four Galilean moons. of between it IU and Europa. The latter is especially interesting, since there may be some life forms. In the meantime, we can see both of them in an image taken by the Juno probe.

Juno captured the image below during Flight 39 of Jupiter on January 12. The ship at that time was about 61 thousand. How much above the giant gas clouds. The larger moon (on the left) is Io, and you can see Europa next to it. I must admit that the photo is really amazing.

On the other hand, the second moon will be thoroughly examined as part of the mission Europa clipper. The agency is currently assembling the ship and is scheduled for launch in 2024. After about six years of flying, the machine should reach Jupiter’s orbit.

At the same time, we invite you to listen to the latest episode of the podcast from a technical point of view. This time we talked to the creator of the ANS encoding … which is used by almost the whole world today. Although he has developed a great solution, he hasn’t seen a single zloty, and tech giants – from Google to Microsoft – are trying to patent them, without sharing the profits with the world. How did this happen and what exactly does ANS allow? You can find the answers to this below:
