The first encounter in the Italian Cup semi-final, which was held in Florence, was accompanied by many interpretations. All thanks to the return to Stadio Artemio Franchi Dusan Vlahovic, who went in the winter transfer window from Fiorentina to Juventus. The Serbian striker started his adventure with the old lady with a strong blow. Already on his debut, he scored a goal in the Serie A match against Hellas Verona, and recently, thanks to two goals, gave Massimiliano Allegri’s team a total bet against Empoli. The 22-year-old also made his Champions League debut with a goal. He only needed… 33 seconds in the first leg against Villarreal.

All eyes were on Vlahovic on Wednesday evening. On the other side of the barrier, in the attack of the hosts, we watched from the first minute Krzysztof Piątek, who is doing his best with his performance to make the fans in Florence quickly forget the Serbia phenomenon.

From the start of the match, every contact of the Juventus striker with the ball was marked by a powerful whistle from the stands. However, Vlahovic was completely neutralized by the Fiorentina defenders. For most of the first half, the hosts enforced the terms of the stadium. From a distance, Mattia Perina tried to surprise Riccardo Saponara and Cristiano Biraghi, but the reserve goalkeeper from Turin had no problems with an effective intervention.

Jonathan Acon often drove the two-player game of Vincenzo Italiano on the wing. In the 18th minute, the Frenchman flashed a single action, and after one of the Juventus defenders kicked the ball from the air from the front of the penalty area, Giacomo Bonaventura shot, but Perin was vigilant again. In the 26th minute, Juventus spoke of a lot of luck. After a quick counterattack, Ikone broke into the Old Lady’s penalty area again, but his shot missed the visitors’ goal slightly.

Juventus were unable to create a serious threat in the first half under Pietro Terracciano’s goal. Viola’s defenders subtly cut short the match for Vlahovic, as Moise Kean was unable to do much.

After changing sides, Ikone again appeared in the title role. The French should open the score in the 47th minute. The former LOSC Lille player had already dribbled past Mattia de Sciglio in the penalty area, but his shot hit the Juventus post.

In the 56th minute, Vlahovic finally woke up. The Serbian won a physical duel with Igor and tried to beat Teraciano, but the Fiorentina goalkeeper showed an effective intervention. Three minutes later, after Luca Pellegrini’s foul, Biraghi hit hard from a free kick, but Perin was in good shape. In the 65th minute, Krzysztof Piątek left the field, which had almost no chance of entering the scorers’ list. He was replaced by Arthur Cabral, who scored after entering the field in the last league match against Sassuolo.

By the 91st minute, it seemed that the first semi-final match in Florence, as happened in the Milan derby, would end in a draw. Practically in the last match after the match from Juan Cuadrado, the ball rebounded from Lorenzo Vinotti and flew into the net of the hosts. Therefore, Juventus will enter the replay at the Allianz Stadium with a lead of one goal.
