The plant in Gliwice changes its name.  Instead of Opel and PSA, there will be Stellantis

As reported by the local government in Gliwice, Stellantis’ plans expect about 50,000 people to leave Gliwice next year. new delivery trucks, A modern plant will create jobs for every 2,000 employees of the current Opel Manufacturing Poland plant.

At the expanded Opel plant in Gliwice, instead of the Astra manufactured there, the last model of which rolled off the assembly line on November 30, from April 2022, it will be mass-produced – in various versions, also for the British market – Big trucks (the so-called LCV): Peugeot Boxer, Citroen Jumper, Fiat Ducato and Opel Movano.

“This is one of the most important moments in the history of our company. To meet the needs of the new project, we have expanded the factory, which covers about 180,000 square meters, by another 75,000 square meters. The investment cost is about 300 million euros, which is approximately 1.4 billion EUR. PLN”- he referred to the head of Opel Manufacturing Poland and PSA Manufacturing Poland (from January 3, 2022, Stellantis Gliwice) citing the city, Andrzej Korpak.
