The creator of “Favorite” is preparing for a new movie! Emma Stone is back in the cast

This news will surely delight all movie fans. Jorgos Lantimos, author of such films as “The Favorite”, “Killing the Holy Deer” and “Lobster”, is attending another movie. And the cast is Karim cinema in English!

“AND” – the mysterious Lantimos project

The new film by Giorgio Lanthimos is called “And”. The director prepared the script with his usual film partner, Eftemis Filippo.

However, the details of the plot were not disclosed.

We know who we’ll see in the movie. The production stars are: Emma Stone (had the opportunity to work with the director on the occasion of “The Favourite”), Jesse Plemons (recently nominated for an Academy Award for “Psie Claws”), Willem Dafoe (“Wiking” and “French Courier”) and Margaret Qualley (last seen in the “Cleaner” series).

Filming begins next month in New Orleans.

Who is Gorgos Lantimos?

Jorgos Lantimos was born in Athens in 1973. His father was a famous basketball player, and it seemed for a moment that young Giorgos could follow in his footsteps. However, he chose directing which he studied photography in Athens.

He appeared on the world stage with his third full-length film “Fang”. The picture won the Cannes Un Certain Regard Award and was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film.

He confirmed his place in world cinema with another work. Together with Filippo, he won an award at the Venice Film Festival for the screenplay of The Alps.

Then the English cinema asked him. His first appearance was “Lobster” with Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz. The picture was awarded the Jury Prize at Cannes and two European Film Awards.

Killing the Sacred Deer, starring Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman, won a screenplay award at the Cannes Film Festival.

“The Favorite” remains the greatest hit. The movie earned 10 Academy Award nominations, but Olivia Colman (who previously starred in Lobster) turned it into a figurine. The film was even better at the BAFTA ceremony – it won seven awards there.
