Another WTA final with Sabalenka
The last time Schwetek and Sabalenka played together a few weeks ago in the final of the tournament in Stuttgart. The leader of the world ranking turned out to be even better, winning 6: 3, 6: 4. Perhaps Aryna Sabalenka dreams of beating Iga, but her chances are slim, because she feels a little worse on clay, and even Iga prevails, because she can control her temper and control opponent’s game on the field.
Švedek and Sabalenka will play for the eighth time
So far, Iga has 5 wins and 2 losses. For the third time, tennis players will face each other in the tournament final. Previously, it was held twice in Stuttgart, in 2022 and on April 23, 2023 – in both meetings Svetek was the winner.
For the first time since 2014, the WTA 1000 Finals will feature the leader and vice-leader of the world rankings.
