Sir: Kroos will not extend his contract with Real Madrid

In May 2019 Toni Kroos extended his contract with Real Madrid for the last time. The German midfielder wants to wait another year and only after the end of next season to assess whether he is still fit and in the right shape to continue playing for the club from the Spanish capital. Members of the royal family would be surprised by the 32-year-old’s decision, but they did not convince him to change it and decided to respect the player’s will. The club offered the player a contract until June 30, 2024.
