“Rumors” is a collaboration between Jay Madden, Evan Johnson and Galen Johnson. The film premiered at Cannes this year.
The action takes place during the G7 summit. The leaders of the world’s richest countries gathered there are lost in the jungle, where they have to face increasing dangers. At the same time, they are trying to write an interim statement on the global crisis.
In the trailer, it’s hard not to notice the inspiration from the creators who used B-movie aesthetics, and it also seems that the AI-generated brain “the size of a Volkswagen” will be a source of pride for the entire production.
