Hubert Hurkacz (8th on the ATP Tour) will play in the Grand Slam tournament of Roland Garros for the seventh time. The Wrocław resident has never made it further than the fourth round in the Paris competition. At this point, the Pole has played only once – in 2022.
Hurkacz was eliminated last season in the third round of Roland Garros. Our tennis player first dealt with the Belgian David Goffin and the Dutchman Talon Grexboer, and unexpectedly recognized the superiority of Juan Pablo Varelas from Peru.
In the first round of Roland Garros 2024, Hurkacz will face the qualifier – Shintaro Mochizuki. The Japanese representative is currently the No. 163 player in the ATP rankings. To reach the main draw, Mochizuki had to defeat three opponents in the qualifying rounds.

The Hurkacz-Mochizuki match will start around 12:30pm on Sunday 26 May. This will be the second match of the day in Paris on Court No. 7. Earlier in this arena (from 11.00) the women will play – Marie Bouzkova and Veronika Kudermetwa.
