– I cannot imagine further cooperation with Bayern Munich after what has happened in recent months – announced on Monday Robert Lewandowski, the club’s footballer and captain of the Polish national team. He added that his story with the German national team was “over”. Bayern Munich coach Oliver Kahn replied: “I don’t know why he chose this path.”
On Monday, Lewandowski – as the first footballer of the Polish team – appeared at a press conference with coach Czeslaw Micniewicz. The striker said he wants to leave Bayern Munich, where he has been playing since 2014.
For today, one thing is certain: my story with Bayern Munich is over. I can’t imagine more collaborations after what happened in recent months. He said I realize that relocation would be the best solution for both sides.
At the same time, he added, “until this matter is finalised, he does not intend to comment on it anymore.” As he also announced, in the near future he will only focus on assembling and acting. “I think Bayern will not stop me just because they can,” he said.
German team boss Oliver Kahn responded to Lewandowski’s words. – I don’t know why he chose this path. Such public statements do not help anything. He was the best football player in the world with us twice. I think he should know what our club gave him – he evaluated tens of minutes after the conference with the participation of the pole.

According to media reports, Lewandowski would like to join FC Barcelona, although his contract with Bayern Munich expires in June 2023. There is also information about his possible move to Real Madrid.
Sports journalist Matteo Moretto found that German club activists – who initially hesitated about a possible transfer – changed their minds and were able to sell the striker for at least 40 million euros.
The media also reported about the bad relations that Lewandowski allegedly had with the Bayern authorities recently.
Lewandowski played 375 games for Bayern, scored 344 goals and scored 72 assists. He has won the Bundesliga eight times, the German Cup three times, the German Super Cup five times, the European Champions League, the European Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Championship.

The press conference was organized on Monday because on June 1 Poland will play Wales in the first round of the UEFA Nations League. The Polish national team will play four matches next month.
