Railway investment will cost nearly PLN 600 million – Radio5

This is one of the largest railway investments in this part of Poland. We are talking about the construction of the Baltic Railway, which is being implemented in Ełk. Passenger and freight terminals are being rebuilt. The cost of the works is about PLN 600 million.

According to Radio 5 Tomasz Łotowski of the press team of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA, the contractor has laid several kilometers of tracks. Thousands of tons of materials and steel were used to build new facilities.

At Ełk station, the construction of platform No. 3 is nearing completion.

There are also three bridges that will increase safety. Based on the Mujahideen. The railway is already in the middle of the road. The contractor has already laid the new track on which the trains will run. Work has begun on the construction of the second part of the structure.

The investment is due to be completed by the end of this year and is co-financed by EU funds under the name Connecting Europe. Its cost is PLN 587 million.
