The way to combat the circulating delta variant is to use a third dose of the vaccine.
According to recent guidance, Israel has decided to administer a third of the so-called booster dose to anyone over the age of 30. Eligible for this vaccination are those who received a previous dose of the vaccine at least five months ago.
Israel is the first country in the world to provide a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to such a large percentage of the population.
