The former world boxing champion, now a member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Valuev, responded to the departure of foreign players from the matches of the Russian League in connection with the events in Ukraine. Strong words were spoken.

– Let them run away. Fail! Rats always run off the ship. Not only when the machine is sinking, but also under fire – said the two-time professional world champion of WBA in the heavyweight category, citing sport24.ru.

– It will not be mercenaries as we are – confirmed the 48-year-old Valuev. This is a response to the behavior of some athletes and coaches who left Russia after the invasion of Vladimir Putin’s regime (started on February 24).

That’s what Grzegorz Krychowiak is. The player of FK Krasnodar in the current situation does not want to continue his career in Russia. The Polish actor is negotiating his departure from the Premier League (more here).

FIFA has made a decision regarding foreign players playing in Russia. Due to the invasion of Ukraine by this country, foreigners from the Russian League can freeze their contracts until the end of June this year and play in other clubs until then, on loan.
