What will the movie “Pressure” be about?

The project, produced by Working Title and Studio Canal, will tell the story of the days leading up to the Allied landings in Normandy in June 1944. The main character in the story will be James Stagg (Scott), the chief meteorologist. His task is to report the weather conditions to the command. The experience he prepares will affect the fate of the operation.

Meanwhile, General Dwight D. Eisenhower (Fraser) is concerned about the success of the invasion. Condon will play the most trusted aide to the commander of the combined forces, Captain Kay Summersby. The film will tell the story of the stressful decision-making process that led to the order to attack.

Anthony Maras (“Hotel Mumbai”), who wrote the screenplay with David Haig (“Four Weddings and a Funeral”), will direct the production. “Pressure” will be an adaptation of Haig’s acclaimed play.

Kerry Condon’s latest roles

The actress, known for her role in the TV series “Ray Donovan” among other things, gained worldwide fame thanks to her Oscar-nominated role in Martin McDonagh’s “The Ghosts of Inisherin”. Since then, we have seen Condon in two productions: the thriller “The Land of Saints and Sinners” and the horror “Cursed Waters”.
