Yaroslav L. is now 60 years old. When he separated from his son’s mother, he had to pay alimony of 250 Polish zlotys per month. The amount was not large, but the Torun resident was constantly evading him. Who paid alimony for three years: from January 2007 to September 2010.
According to “Dziennik Toruński”, his case was taken up by the Second Criminal Division of the District Court in Toruń, and Judge Marek Tyciński convicted him not only of evading the alimony obligation, but also of exposing his child to the inability to meet the basic needs of life.
By court decision, Yaroslav L. was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for one year on probation. The court also decided to impose an additional penalty. The verdict and the man’s details were announced.
