Emmy Award-winning comedian Jerrod Carmichael will host the 80th Anniversary Gala for the Golden Globe Awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s awards. The ceremony will take place on January 10, 2023 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. The three-hour live broadcast will be available to watch on NBC and the Peacock streaming service.

Carmichael, 35, is best known for his 2015-2017 NBC comedy series The Carmichael Show. His acting resume also includes titles like “Neighbours,” “Neighbors 2,” and “Transformers: The Last Knight.” This year, he won an Emmy Award for his comedy special on HBO Max, “Jerrod Carmichael: Rothaniel.” The comedian has publicly admitted that he is gay. He also spoke in alternately sad and funny ways about the reaction of his loved ones to his exit.

Golden Globes 2023: When are the nominations?

Dick Clark, Deion Harmon, and Jesse Collins will produce next year’s event. The latter won an Emmy this year for “The Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show,” which starred Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Fifty Cent.
