Gears of War will receive a movie with actors and an adult animated series. Netflix participates in the projects

Gears fans have been waiting a long time for this day. The world developed by the Alliance will receive not only new games, but players can also count on at least two other projects – a feature film and an animated series.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed the very good news – after several months of negotiations, Netflix has forged a major collaboration with The Coalition. For a good start, the broadcasting company wants to make a movie with actors, and then an adult animated series.

“Netflix has big ambitions for the title and the plan is to first adapt the game into a feature film, and then an adult animated series.”

The Hollywood Reporter also mentions that films and animation could usher in entirely new series – although, as is often the case with the Netflix platform, it is likely that appropriate results from the project will be necessary.

However, this is where the details end, because Netflix has yet to reveal who will play the characters, and we don’t know the directors, screenwriters, and producers.

Now, basically, it remains to wait for the details to be presented not only by Netflix – after all, a new game is also being created in the series. The coalition has changed the engine (Unreal Engine 5) and the developers need more time to make the game come true, but we hope to get our first teaser in the near future.
