This important festival has a large number of devotees. Headliners such as Nicky Jam and Farooq are on the program for the evening.

Festival promoter Olivier Primeau explains the excitement behind Latin music in Quebec.

“I know that Latin music sells well, because in the beach club, it sells well. Today at full capacity like that, it’s extraordinary. With the excitement on social networks, it’s shared quickly. Plus, the Latin community in Montreal is huge. It’s beautiful to see,” he explains.

He even came to a festival from France to attend the first edition of the event.

“I came because the artists I love are on the line,” he said.

Last May, surreal footage emerged on social media where festival-goers could be seen climbing onto the roof of the Olympic Stadium. Organizers have assured that security has been beefed up.

“We have improved a lot. We worked on projects with SPVM and firefighters. We are ready and it will go well,” underlines Oliver Primeau.
