Minister of State Assets has appointed Daniel Obagetek as a member of the Board of Directors for a new term of three years. The term of membership starts from the date of the Ordinary General Assembly meeting to approve the company’s financial statements for the fiscal year 2022.
The Minister of State Assets acts as the entity authorized to exercise the rights attached to the shares of PKN Orlen owned by the State Treasury.
Subsequently, the company’s supervisory board entrusted Daniel Obajtek with the task of Chairman of the Board of Directors of PKN Orlen during the new tenure of the Board of Directors.
Daniel Obagetek is Orlen’s president for another term
As we read in Thursday’s Orlin press release, Obagetek, as president of the company, “has created a strong multi-energy company, a clear leader in Central and Eastern Europe.”
Thanks to the acquisitions of Grupa Lotos and PGNiG, and earlier of Energa, Ruchu or Polska Press, completed in 2022, the Orlen Group “has the potential to carry out multibillion-dollar investments to enhance security and energy independence in Poland, and even Central Europe. Energy transformation in the markets in which it operates.
Daniel Obagetek has served as Chairman and CEO of the company since February 2018. Previously, from 2017 to February 2018, he was president of the Energa Group, and in 2016-2017 he headed the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture.
