“DMZ” is a quote from the comic book published by Riccardo Burkeli and Brian Wood in 2005. The action takes place in the near future. The United States is mired in the Second Civil War. The title “demilitarized” demilitarized zone covers Manhattan. No one can leave it or enter it. For Doctor Alma (played by Rosario Dawson), it doesn’t matter.
