Rules for entering the UK will change on Monday morning in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. This is especially true for England and Northern Ireland, which will no longer require testing from most countries.

This applies to people who have been vaccinated in the United Kingdom, the European Union, European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries and European small states, in the United States and in 18 other countries around the world, incl. In Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Israel and Taiwan. Those who have been vaccinated are still required to fill out a localization form and take a paid test on the second day after their arrival.

Persons who have not been vaccinated and who have not been fully vaccinated or who have been vaccinated in other countries must undergo a pre-arrival test from countries outside the Red List, and upon arrival two days (on the second and eighth days of stay), in addition to undergoing a 10-day home quarantine, Which can be abbreviated if another test is taken, no later than the fifth day after arrival.

The obligation to take pre-departure testing still applies to vaccinated people coming to Scotland and Wales. However, they do not have to quarantine and only need to take one test upon arrival. In addition to pre-departure testing, unvaccinated people must undergo two post-arrival tests – on the second and eighth days – and undergo a 10-day home quarantine.
